Year 3

I must admit that I didn't expect to have such a good time in college this year. After finishing second year I was just relieved and happy to spend a few months doing nothing, dreading September 15th all the way! A few weeks into this year though, I couldn't be happier with the way things are going. We're filming like mad, editing like lunatics and coming up with better and BIGGER ideas. There is a lot of talent in my class and finally I feel part of that group that can GET SHIT DONE.

Vinny out!

My gaming channel on Youtube.

 Hey guys,

Just a quick update;  I've started a gaming channel on Youtube.  I'll be working on uploading some gameplay of different games I play and maybe doing some commentaries as well. It's something I've been thinking about doing for a while now so I thought, why not?!

Here's a link to my channel if anyone wants to check it out :)

Obama visits Ireland and... Enda Kenny is the right man?

So basically, OBAMA IS A LEGEND!

With his first visit to Ireland now over, we can all look back and say it went by successfully. I bet in 50 years time we'll be telling our grand children about this occasion; "I remember when Obama came to Ireland...". It's like hearing my grandfather talk about when Kennedy came here in 1963.

Obama getting ready for his speech

And what a speech it was. Seriously, this guy has to be one of the best I've ever seen when it comes to giving speeches. His ability to connect to a crowd with his choice of words surely have helped him a great deal during the presidential campaign.

You know what, I don't mind Enda Kenny too much. Now this is comparing him to the previous two taoiseachs (Prime minister) we've had. Bertie and Brian really messed us up. I know it's only early days for Enda Kenny and his government, but I think they will prove that they're the right people to bring Ireland back to what it was, a wealthy country.

What do you guys think? Is he the right man or did we just vote for another 'lunatic'? Let me know :)

Till next time,

Vinny.

Jedward and Pippa Middleton

 Hey guys,

Finally wrapped up college for this year. The days seemed to go on FUR EVAR towards the end!
 And now...4 months holiday!

This week will be the week of the Eurovision. For those of you who don't know, it's a song contest where each country in Europe submits a singer/band to perform and a winner is picked by a public voting system. It's viewed by MILLIONS of people so it's kind of a big thing.

Now, Ireland has decided to put forward JEDWARD. Really...Jedward? The thing is though, I wouldn't be suprised if they actually won it! They fit perfectly well in the circus the Eurovision has begun. Not bashing Eastern Europe but they've dominated the Eurovision since they were allowed to enter and mainly because of neighbouring countries voting for them (you're not allowed to vote for your own country). Although to be fair, some western Europe countries have won it over the past few years.

Ok I totally just bashed Eastern Europe there... and I guess we'll just have to wait and find out what's going to happen.

In other news, Pippa Middleton (sister of Kate Middleton) has received an offer of €5 million dollars for one scene in a porn film.

Would you watch it?

Till next time,

Vinny.

Image of Bin Laden's body

Hey everyone,

So now that everyone is done celebrating the killing of Osama Bin Laden (see previous blog), people are becoming more and more conscious that this may just be a stunt pulled off by Barrack Obama to secure his re-election as President of the United States. Except maybe of course the hardcore "gullibles" in this world.

The one thing everyone wants to see is a picture of his dead body. According to the latest news headlines the American governemt are "weighing out the pros and cons of releasing the image of Bin Laden's body". Now to me it seems like this shouldn't even be "weighed out". To stop all confusion in the world about whether or not this whole thing is true, all they have to do is show a picture!

One image was released of Obama and crew in the situation room.

This seems real enough. Clinton with a hand covering her mouth expressing shock. Obama with a very serious look on his face. This image, I can bet on it, has been released to convince us all. Weak Washington, very weak.

Until I see an image of the body I will never bee 100% convinced that Bin Laden is dead.

What do you guys think of this whole ordeal. Should there be an image shown (with some DNA results as extra proof), or is it ok to just accept the word of the President? Let me know!

In other news - Us Irish just had the sunniest April on record. What a month it was!

Till next time,

Vinny.

Bin Laden killed

Vinny is my name and I like to write about things that I notice in my daily life.

I'm starting this blog a day after the supposed killing of Osama Bin Laden.

Like so many others I am skeptical of this information that he was killed. Although after a full day of
reading newspaper articles and watching the news about this story in stead of doing college work, I've
come to a conclusion; It must be true.

This is great news of course. Although Bin Laden wasn't an in command leader of Al-Qaeda anymore
he is, by far, the most recognizable face of terrorism as a whole. So to strike a blow at operating
terrorists the one thing that you could do is take out this man. Success!

Then I come across pictures like this ->

and:

And it just makes me sick. It just seems so barbaric to me...

Yes, Celebrate! But to crowd the streets like that and wave the American flag around like an eejit (A silly individual for all you non-Irish people out there!) doesn't  make sense to me.
Maybe it's just me or where I come from. Being proud of your country is one
thing but some people take it way too far.

So does the killing of Osama Bin Laden stop terrorism? No.

Does it fuel anger? Yes.

To me this seems a never-ending war. Someone else is going to step up as the leader or face of terrorism
and I fear the worst because I highly doubt we've seen the last of terrorist attacks.

Anyway, back to the college work I go!

Till next time,

Vinny.
