I'm starting this blog a day after the supposed killing of Osama Bin Laden.
Like so many others I am skeptical of this information that he was killed. Although after a full day of
reading newspaper articles and watching the news about this story in stead of doing college work, I've
come to a conclusion; It must be true.
This is great news of course. Although Bin Laden wasn't an in command leader of Al-Qaeda anymore
he is, by far, the most recognizable face of terrorism as a whole. So to strike a blow at operating
terrorists the one thing that you could do is take out this man. Success!
Then I come across pictures like this ->

and:

And it just makes me sick. It just seems so barbaric to me...
Yes, Celebrate! But to crowd the streets like that and wave the American flag around like an eejit (A silly individual for all you non-Irish people out there!) doesn't make sense to me.
Maybe it's just me or where I come from. Being proud of your country is one
thing but some people take it way too far.
So does the killing of Osama Bin Laden stop terrorism? No.
Does it fuel anger? Yes.
To me this seems a never-ending war. Someone else is going to step up as the leader or face of terrorism
and I fear the worst because I highly doubt we've seen the last of terrorist attacks.
Anyway, back to the college work I go!
Till next time,
Vinny.
